National Public Health Week

For the 7th year, Nashua will come together to celebrate National Public Health Week (NPHW). This year, we hope to continue our tradition of engaging with individuals, families, and organizations to celebrate how our community works together to ensure that everyone has the best opportunity to live a long and healthy life. We hope you will join us as we celebrate NPHW 2015!

5-2-1-0 Healthy NH
"5-2-1-0 Healthy NH" is a statewide public education campaign to bring awareness to daily recommendations for nutrition and physical activity. Its message is simple and clear and represents some of the most important steps families can take to prevent childhood obesity:
5-2-1-0 Logo
  • 5 - Fruits and vegetables more matters! Eat fruits and vegetables at least 5 times a day. Limit 100% fruit juice.
  • 2 - Cut screen time to 2 hours or less a day.
  • 1 - Participate in at least 1 hour of moderate to vigorous physical activity every day.
  • 0 - Restrict soda and sugar-sweetened sports and fruit drinks. Drink water and fat-free/skim or 1% milk instead.
