Inclement Weather

During inclement weather, Nashua Transit System Fixed Route and Paratransit services may be modified as local road conditions deteriorate. If snow accumulates to unsafe levels or road conditions are impassable, Nashua Transit System will suspend or cancel all bus service until it is safe to resume service.

Snow Event Deviation Stages

Suspended Service

When service is suspended buses will remain parked at the safest location possible. Passengers can remain on the bus in a warm/dry place as long as it is safe to do so until service is resumed. Nashua Transit System has worked with local jurisdictions to identify bus routes that need to be plowed to maintain bus service to as many communities as possible. Suspended service updates will be provided through the City of Nashua Notify Me service and the Nashua Transit System website. (www.RideBigBlue.com).

Cancellations

If forecasted conditions are continuing to clearly deteriorate making it unsafe for passage, service may be canceled. When service is canceled as much notice as possible will be given to allow passengers to make alternate plans.  Remember, Nashua Transit will never leave passengers stranded.

When Fixed Route service is canceled paratransit vans may be used to aid stranded passengers when it is safe to do so. If service has been canceled passengers should call 603-880-0100 for more information.

Paratransit service will remain open ONLY to bring home passengers whom have already been dropped off and would otherwise be stranded.

Cancellations will be communicated through the City of Nashua Notify Me service, the Nashua Transit System website. (www.RideBigBlue.com), and City of Nashua media lists.
