MBK Mini Grant Program

Thank you to everyone who submitted a grant to the MBK Mini Grant Program. 

The grants have been received and are being reviewed by our MBK Grant Reviewing Team comprised of:

  • Mary Ann Melizzi-Golja, Alderwoman Ward 8
  • Carrie Schena, Urban Programs Manager
  • Amanda Martinez, MBK Advisory Member

Awards will be announced following review:

Three $500 grants are available.
Grant proposals must meet one of the following MBK goals: 

  • Entering school ready to learn
  • Reading at a grade level by third grade 
  • Preventing violence and providing second chances.

The MBK Community Challenge is a national call to action to build and execute robust plans to ensure that all young people – no matter who they are, where they come from or the circumstances into which they are born – can achieve their full potential.
