2021 NTS Holiday Express Trolley Event - Cancelled

Due to COVID-19 concerns, NTS will not be operating the NTS Holiday Express Trolley Rides this year.  The event has been tentatively rescheduled for the first Sunday of December 2022. Please check back in Fall 2022 for ticketing information for next year's event, or follow us on Facebook for updates.

About the Event

Join Nashua Transit System for a magical trolley ride to the North Pole to meet Santa! Along the way, enjoy a theatrical reading of the classic Christmas story: The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. All guests are invited to wear their PJs!

Ride Information

  • Event is rain or shine.
  • Trolleys will depart promptly from the Nashua Transit Center (30 Elm St.
  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
  • Riders MUST have a ticket to board and may only board at the departure time listed on their ticket.
  • We welcome you to enjoy refreshments & entertainment at the Transit Center while waiting for your trolley. Before boarding, check in with an NTS staff member who will verify your tickets. Each child in your party will receive a special golden ticket!
  • The NTS Holiday Express experience will last approximately 30 minutes. 
  • Passengers will enjoy a theatrical reading of The Polar Express story and then arrive at the "North Pole" (Nashua City Hall) to meet Santa and receive a special gift. 
  • After visiting Santa, families will exit City Hall and return to their vehicles (approx. 100 yds from City Hall).


Passengers may park in the Elm St. Parking Garage located directly across from the Transit Center, behind City Hall. Parking is FREE on Sundays.
