Call for Artists
NASHUA ARTS COMMISSION PUBLIC SERVICE VIDEO PROJECT
The Nashua Arts Commission video subcommittee is seeking to engage an artist, or a team of artists, that will work together, to create a 2 – 2 ½ minute video promoting the new Nashua Arts and Culture plan.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The project is to educate the public about the central tenets of the new arts and culture plan that include the benefits of the arts, preservation of key artistic/cultural locations, and why and how the public can and should get involved with the arts. The maximum budget for this project is $3,000.
The goal is to create a 2 – 2 ½ minute video that engages the public through a variety of outlets including social media, websites, Youtube and cable access TV.
The video will become the property of the City of Nashua and the Nashua Arts Commission, along with all rights of reproduction.
Deadline for finished video is March 15, 2023.
STEP ONE – LETTER OF INTEREST
To qualify for consideration, the artist or artist team will submit information to be reviewed by the Nashua Arts Commission video subcommittee. Qualified professional, emerging and student artists may apply, with consideration given to artists living in the greater Nashua area.
Application requirements include complete contact information with phone number, email and website, a statement of interest limited to 500 words, a resume or short biography, and two to five video clips of the applicant’s related work. If applying as a team, the required materials apply to all applicants.
Application materials must be submitted via email to Amy DeRoche at derochea@nashuanh.gov by November 30, 2022.
STEP TWO – REVIEW OF PROPOSALS
By December 15, 2022, qualified candidates will be assigned a live interview in which to present a content proposal to the video subcommittee the first week of January 2023.
The review panel consisting of members of Nashua Arts Commission video subcommittee will interview the qualified artists and select the finalist(s). Notification of selection is expected to be January 15, 2023.
