The City of Nashua Office of Emergency Management is a citywide system that provides management and coordination for prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for all hazards that may impact the City of Nashua. Working in close partnership with Nashua's public safety and public health agencies, OEM plans and prepares for emergencies, educates the public about emergency preparedness, conducts training exercises and drills, and performs other services to support the City’s overall preparedness. OEM follows an all-hazards approach, preparing for various types of emergencies – natural or man-made.
As the coordinating agency for the City's emergency management program, OEM manages the Nashua Emergency Operations Center (EOC), facilitates emergency planning efforts and provides assistance in the aftermath of a disaster. This department is comprised of professional staff, and liaisons from city public safety agencies, who work collaboratively to ensure emergency preparedness efforts are appropriately coordinated within the City and all external partners.
