Also housed in the Fire Alarm building is the City of Nashua Communication Technician. Fire Alarm in conjunction with the Nashua Police Department and city-wide Radio Technician maintain the radio sites, control stations, mobile and portable radio equipment for all city departments.
The communications center handles calls for service ranging from general information to reports of building fires. Twelve full time dispatchers staff the communications center answering more than a dozen different phone lines and monitor over 40 separate radio channels. Nashua is part of the Enhanced 911 system operated out of two call center locations in Laconia and Concord. Communications handles all Emergency Medical and Fire call types for the city.
September 2019 the Nashua Fire Rescue deployed a new all-inclusive software solution. Alpine Software’s product RedNMX, advances Nashua Fire Rescue department with a software solution allowing all of the departments divisions to records and share information. Mobile Data Terminals share real time emergency vehicle location information. Nashua Fire Rescue is utilizing the complete spectrum of the software which includes Dispatch, Mobile Data, Fire Records, Imaging, Mapping, EMS reporting, Vehicle Maintenance and Administrative modules.
