[ARCHIVED] Nashua Public Health Re-opens Community Health Clinic

Equip with two exam rooms, a triage room, phlebotomy space, and an updated laboratory, including a new vaccine freezer and refrigerators, our newly renovated clinic space allows our staff to lead the way in disease prevention by providing a variety of health services and education to the Greater Nashua Community. Our clinic is staffed by several Public Health Nurses, Bilingual Outreach Workers, and Bilingual Administrative Staff. A Nurse Practitioner is also available during our STD/HIV/HCV clinics.

“As we navigate this pandemic, unintended consequences of COVID-19, such as increases in preventable communicable diseases and childhood lead poisoning, are public health concerns,” said Kim Bernard, Chief Public Health Nurse at the City of Nashua DPHCS. “The Community Health Team at the Nashua Division of Public Health is dedicated to assisting you and your family in accessing these health services and encourage you to visit us at our Mulberry Street location or during one of our outreach clinics.”

We offer a range of services, including: child and adult immunizations; child lead testing; HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV) testing, counseling, and referral to care; and Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) testing, counseling, and treatment. Clinic services are available by appointment. To schedule an appointment, call us at 603-589-4500, option 2. The clinic schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Immunizations and Child Lead Testing
  • Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.: STD/HIV/HCV Testing, Counseling, and Treatment
  • Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Immunizations and Child Lead Testing

In addition to re-opening our clinic, the Community Health Team has also transitioned to using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR). An EMR is a digital version of an individuals’ health record, including medical history, diagnoses, medications, immunization dates, lab results, and doctor’s notes. The adoption of an EMR will effectively allow communication and coordination among healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
