The Solid Waste Department reminds owners of backyard pools to properly disposal of chemicals used to treat the water.  Pool chemicals should NOT be put into the trash but must be brought to a household hazardous waste collection.  The last two collections for this year will take place on Saturday mornings, Oct. 7 and Nov. 4 at the Public Works Garage near the Police Station.  Please contact the Solid Waste Department at 589-3410 for more information.
