I want to see Nashua develop a bicycle and pedestrian master plan. The intent of this plan will be the prioritization of infrastructure improvements when funds are available for bike-ped projects. A bicycle and pedestrian master plan would also create policies which will consider "Complete Street" approach to typical maintenance done by the city. For example, typical maintenance such as re-striping a road which have drive lanes in excess of 14' down to 11' drive lanes can create a 4' bike line in the shoulder. This type of maintenance work could be made into "Standard" practice and aligned with priority street list for creating desired pedestrian and bicycle interconnections between residential areas and destinations.
