What do I do if I receive my real estate bill in the wrong name?
If you just purchased the property, it may take a while before the Record of Deeds provide this information to the Assessor's Office. Once they receive the transfer of property, the Owner(s) name and address will be changed. If there is an error in the spelling of your name, then you should contact the Assessor’s Office to have them correct the bill.Assessing Department Contact Information
