How are the fees calculated?: Debit/Credit payments - The processing fee is calculated as 2.79% of the amount of the bill, with a minimum fee of $1.50. There will be an additional transaction fee of $1.50. These fees are collected by the payment processing vendor and no portion of these fees are funded to the City.

Debit/Credit & eCheck Acceptance

1. What can I pay for using my debit/credit card or an Electronic Check (eCheck)?

At this time you can use the City of Nashua’s Online Payment Portal to pay for the following:

Lease Parking
Motor Vehicle Renewals
Parking Fines
Parks & Recreation payments
Regularly billed Wastewater charges
Property Tax payments

You will be charged a processing and transaction fee to conduct any debit, credit or eCheck payment online. You can avoid paying these additional fees by paying in person with cash or personal check or by mailing a check payment. Please allow 3 to 5 business days to receive your registration renewal(s).

2. Do I have to contact my bank before using an eCheck?: No. An eCheck is a payment drawn electronically from your bank checking account. Using an eCheck does not require a debit or credit card. To use an eCheck you will be asked for both your routing number and your account number. This information can be most easily obtained from bottom of your paper checks, or you can contact your financial institution for the numbers (some list routing numbers on their website). The numbers are never stored by the City or the payment processing vendor after the transaction is complete.

4. Can I get an estimate for my motor vehicle registration?: We are pleased to provide you with the ability to receive quick and convenient estimates for your vehicle registrations. The estimated fees calculated are subject to change and may vary depending upon how, when and where you complete the registration process.

5. Can I pay my vehicle registration or wastewater bill using a combination credit card/e-check?: Payment must be made using one method: all credit card or all e-check.

6. How secure is my payment and personal information?: Payments are processed through a secured site which uses 2048 bit SSL encryption. Only the payment confirmation is provided to the City. Sensitive credit card and related information are not stored by the City or the payment processing vendor after the transaction is complete.

7. Can I make a partial payment?: No. The entire bill amount must be paid if using the online payment portal.

8. How soon will my payment be posted?: Your financial institution will deduct the payment immediately; however the transaction may take 2 to 3 days to clear and to be posted to the City’s records.

9. If I have a returned check, can I use my credit card to repay the returned check transaction?: A replacement for a returned check must be made with certified funds (bank check or cash) payable in the office where the original transaction took place.

10. How do the processing and transaction fees show on my debit/credit card statement?: Your financial institution’s statement will show one payment for the City’s bill amount and one payment to EB2Gov for the processing and transaction fees.

11. What do I do if I can’t find my Motor Vehicle Renewal online?: If you can’t access your renewal, contact the Nashua Motor Vehicle Department at 603-589-3200 or email the Motor Vehicle Renewal Department.

12. What do I do if I can’t find my wastewater bill online?: Only current bills will be available online for payment. If you can’t access your bill, contact the Nashua Wastewater Office at 603-589-3195 or email the Wastewater Treatment Facility.

13. Can I change my mailing address online?: No. You need to contact the respective department via phone or email to change your mailing address or other information.
