If the portion of the service which is on your private property requires repair or replacing, it is up to you to hire a plumber or repair it yourself.
If the portion of the service which falls within the area between the municipal sewer and your property line (in the street) requires repair or replacement and your property is a 1 (or) 2-family residence you can have the City repair/replace it for a fee of $600. Any other property, residential or commercial, must have the repair/replacement performed by a licensed drain-layer.
